SubTrades currently supports Zerodha, Dhan, Upstox, and Angel One via CSV upload. Dhan also supports automatic daily trade sync via API — no manual uploading needed.
In Zerodha: Console → Reports → Tradebook → Download. In Dhan: Reports → Trade History → Export. In Upstox: Reports → Trade History → Download CSV. In Angel One: Reports → Trade Book → Download. SubTrades accepts the default export format from each broker — no modification needed.
SubTrades reads your trade timestamps, entry sizes, P&L sequences, and holding times automatically. It looks for specific signatures — like entries within minutes of a stop-out (revenge trading), or position sizes that spike after a profitable day (euphoria). No manual input is required.
SubTrades currently detects seven patterns: revenge trading, overtrading, FOMO entries, hope trading, loss averaging, euphoria sizing, and profit giveback. More patterns are being added.
Some traders will have minimal pattern activity — that's a legitimate result. SubTrades shows you what the data says, not what it thinks you want to hear. If patterns are low, the dashboard will reflect that accurately.
At least 30 days of trading data gives SubTrades enough to surface reliable patterns. With less data, patterns may appear but with lower confidence. More history (3–6 months) gives the most accurate picture.
After your trades are imported, the AI mentor reads your positions and identifies one specific trade worth reflecting on — based on your pattern history. It then asks a targeted question about that trade. You answer in your own words, and SubTrades files the insight.
Most users complete a journal session in 10–15 minutes. The AI asks about one specific position — not every trade. The question is grounded in your data, so you don't need to recall context.
Your journal entries are used only to build your personal trading rules and psychology dashboard within SubTrades. They are never shared, sold, or used to train AI models.
Yes. Your data is stored in a secure database with row-level security — only your account can access your data. We do not share or sell any trade data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
No. For CSV imports, your file is processed and stored in your account only. For Dhan API sync, SubTrades uses an access token — your login credentials are never stored.
Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile settings. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
SubTrades calculates P&L from your trade data. Differences may occur due to brokerage charges, STT, exchange fees, or overnight positions. SubTrades shows gross trade P&L by default, not net-of-charges P&L. Use broker statements for tax or reconciliation purposes.
This usually means the file format doesn't match the expected broker format. Ensure you are downloading the standard Tradebook/Trade History CSV from your broker without modifying it. If the issue persists, email us at hello@subtrades.in with the broker name.
SubTrades is optimised for desktop — the trading dashboard, charts, and journal are best experienced on a larger screen. Mobile support is on the roadmap.
