CSV tradebook upload

Turn your Angel One tradebook into a trading psychology journal

Angel One imports by tradebook CSV. A single export from the reports section carries your history, which is enough for SubTrades to surface patterns on the first upload.

What SubTrades finds in an Angel One tradebook

Your tradebook already records the behaviour. Timestamps show when you re-entered after a stop-out. Position sizes show when confidence outran your edge. Hold times show which losers you kept on hope. SubTrades reads those fields and reports seven patterns, each dated and priced in rupees, without you tagging a single trade.

Common questions

Why is there no Angel One auto-import?

Angel One's SmartAPI requires a full login for each session: API key, client code, PIN and a TOTP code. The session expires daily and cannot be extended by a refresh, so unattended daily sync would mean storing your PIN and your TOTP seed. The tokens it issues also carry full trading rights rather than read-only access. Storing those credentials is not a trade SubTrades is willing to make on your behalf, so Angel One stays CSV-only.

How do I download my Angel One tradebook?

In Angel One, open Reports, then Trade Book, choose your date range, and click Download. Upload the resulting CSV to SubTrades unmodified.

Does CSV upload analyse less than an API connection would?

No. The detection runs on the same fields either way. The only practical difference is convenience: an API connection updates itself, while CSV means re-uploading when you want fresh sessions included.

Trading across more than one broker? Upload or connect each. SubTrades keeps them in one history, which matters because behaviour tends to run across accounts. See the full overview.
